This weekend I noticed a post on Facebook in the “Commodore Amiga” group.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

It was simply Amigapassion making a note that if you went to www.amigapassion.com\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0 you was redirected to Amigakit webshop.<\/p>\n

Now this is simply put very not ok.\u00a0 \u00a0As most of you might know. amigapassion (on real site:\u00a0https:\/\/www.amigapassion.co.uk\/<\/a>\u00a0) offers repairs of Amigacomputers.\u00a0 so does amigakit.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So Amigakit simply take use of people miss-writing the domainname and link them to THEM in a hope to do more sales\/repairs.<\/p>\n

I was afraid of this when I noticed they starting to register trademarks like a1200 etc, that something was going on.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Confronted them on Amiga.org that is owned by Amigakit.\u00a0 and in short the answer was that as they are more known. they can do this..<\/p>\n

meanwhile I also recapped an Amiga sent to me.\u00a0 It was shipped in a Amiga 1200 case from A1200.net<\/a><\/p>\n

Where I noticed THIS sticker:<\/p>\n

Not a single WORD about it was from A1200.net.\u00a0 NOW we know why Amigakit registered the trademark A1200.<\/p>\n

THEY wanted to take full credit of the case and the crowdfunding.<\/p>\n

INSIDE the case you can however still see:<\/p>\n

So they havent removed that (yet)\u00a0 or they just simply missed it?<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Anyway.\u00a0 I do not know if business is going bad for Amigakit or they are just getting greedy.\u00a0 It is time for the community to react.\u00a0 My reaction is that I have done my last order there.<\/p>\n

I would really want to know the story about why they registered amigapassion.com..<\/p>\n

you decide.\u00a0 there are plenty of amiga distrubuters out there.\u00a0 several that does not register trademarks and appartenly think there is not enough shit kept in courtrooms regarding the Amiga..<\/p>\n

I can say one thing:\u00a0 I do NOT accept anything from me.\u00a0 Being DiagROM, ReAmigas or whatever be labeled with their logo..\u00a0 \u00a0no idea if I have the legal way to do anything.
but you all know: If they sell anything from me with their logo on:\u00a0 I am NOT ok with it..\u00a0 and\u00a0 EVEN if they send money to me for that, I will return it.\u00a0 it is simply just not OK!<\/p>\n
