Green for power. )\u00a0 and blue for SCSI.<br \/>\n(Blue is a very intense light)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway. yes. the board gets 5V\u00a0 YAY!.\u00a0 time to be more serious.<\/p>\n<p>First we need to install the ICs required for correct reset handling:<\/p>\n<p>U712 (74F32) and U713 (7407, so 74LS07 is all ok):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Reset.jpg\" data-ss1620490292=\"1\" data-ss1672094126=\"1\" data-ss1728623718=\"1\" data-ss1733072975=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-986\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Reset-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"R3000Reset\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Reset-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Reset-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>ok. now we have a working reset. Time for next step. and this is to install the Agnus, Gary and the 28MHz oscillator and the 23Pin RGB port:<\/p>\n<p>but first a small note about the &#8220;low voltage detector&#8221; between 28MHz oscillator and Gary:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000LVD.jpg\" data-ss1620490292=\"1\" data-ss1672094126=\"1\" data-ss1728623718=\"1\" data-ss1733072975=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-987\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000LVD-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"R3000LVD\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000LVD-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000LVD-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here you can see that I installed the SMD version.\u00a0 you do that OR the component taken from an A3000. NOT both. and if you skip this. you will have issues finding all fastram etc later.\u00a0 this NEEDS to be here.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway. lets go on with agnus etc:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000AgnusEtc.jpg\" data-ss1620490292=\"1\" data-ss1672094126=\"1\" data-ss1728623718=\"1\" data-ss1733072975=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-988\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000AgnusEtc-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"R3000AgnusEtc\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000AgnusEtc-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000AgnusEtc-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now if you poweron you shold get a sync on the monitor. my monitor shows a &#8220;VGA&#8221; splash screen. some you can see it gives a dark grey screen.. or on my oscilloscope probing the Hsync signal:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Hsync.jpg\" data-ss1620490292=\"1\" data-ss1672094126=\"1\" data-ss1728623718=\"1\" data-ss1733072975=\"1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-989\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Hsync-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"R3000Hsync\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Hsync-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wordpress.hertell.nu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/R3000Hsync-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>so now Agnus produces the H and V sync signals.\u00a0 this is good.\u00a0 Time to make it run some code&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>you now needs to install:<\/p>\n<p>U106 (74F74), U710 (74F08), U711 (74F04), U103 (This is origially in a socket, so put in a socket) (74F08)<\/p>\n<p>and U102 is the Delayline, either you use a TH component or the replacement SMD version.<\/p>\n<p>aaand:<br \/>\nU354 (74LS174), U304 (1488, 5188 etc), U352 (7407), U252 (74F86), U204 (74F04), U253 (74F646) and U254 (74F646)<br \/>\nand ROM and ODD CIA (U350) also install the CPU slot connector (this can be skipped if you will not use a cpu card.. but why)<\/p>\n<p>You need now to atleast install all jumpers for cpu: J102, J104, J100 and J103)<\/p>\n<p>tecnically now if you have a cpu card. set jumpers correct, the LED should go bright after 1 sec.
